Ask the Astrologer Weekly Question: What’s ahead for this now 40 Leo?

By Christopher Renstrom

I am going to be turning the big “40” next month.  I am happy with life and age is not bothering me at the moment.  My question is how is the outlook on Money, Health and Travel/Adventure for this maturing Leo?  I have to say that travel has been good since November of 2009 and I have been working out since February 2010 and still going strong.  Money has not been so great since October 2009. Which areas am I going to be hiding my tail and for how long? I’m glad to hear that you’ve been working out. It’s a great stress-reliever and a wonderful way to channel all of that Mars energy that’s coursing through your horoscope now. In addition to exercise, I hope that you’re also investigating changes in your diet so that you can live a more nutritionally healthy life. We don’t always get the opportunity to make lifestyle changes because we’re often overruled by our to do lists.

You were born with Virgo rising. The rising sign describes the way that you approach the world. Right now you have Mars passing through Virgo and this is good. Mars rules action and muscle-power and Virgo is the zodiac sign of health and work. This says that this is a good time to make changes to your daily regimen because you’re feeling motivated and driven so there’s an excellent chance that these changes will stick. Moreover Saturn’s presence here also says that you’re serious about self-improvement and you’re disciplined as well.

However what’s good news for health may not be good news for work as Mars and Saturn together in the same sign often point to conflicts with authority. It should be abundantly clear by now that you have either outgrown your current job or that you are working for someone whom you feel is limited. I don’t think that this person (it could be a boss, client, or supervisor) is deliberately trying to hold you back, I think it’s more along the lines that this person is out of his depth and doesn’t know what he wants or what he is doing. I suspect that this is common knowledge at the office, but unfortunately it doesn’t look like it will be resolved in a timely manner—which means that it would be a good idea for you to put in for a transfer or to start circulating your resumé.

You may not know it, but it looks like you hit the ceiling a while ago vis-à-vis work, so what’s needed is a fresh start in a totally different environment. This could happen around your 40th birthday (which I personally think would be a bit too soon) or between late January and March 2011 (which I think is more likely). In any case, I would encourage you to embrace your Mars energy and to take a proactive approach. Not only will you rekindle your passion for the work that you do, but you will also see your income increase—which guarantees that there will be plenty of travel and adventure in your future.
