Melissa Bond
Melissa Bond is a blond, white woman. She lives in Salt Lake City. She is small and has even, white teeth and suffers from an occasional Dorothee Parker ferocity. Her first book of poetry, HUSH, is about addiction and ecstasy. She is not over it yet. She may never be over it. Bond was named City Weekly's 2007 Best Poet in Motion and received the Mayor's Artist Award for the Literary Arts in 2002. You can read her articles in the Wasatch Journal and the Catalyst, though mostly she just sends out poems and watches the fire in her heart and tries to make it in the world.
