Sunny
Branson is co-owner of Single Malt Media, volunteers for Wasatch Animal Rescue,
and sponsors two pot-bellied pigs at Ching Farm Animal Sanctuary. She started
volunteering for animal rescues five years ago and it quickly became a passion.
Writing for the Catalyst happened almost by accident when she approached Greta in
January 2005 about promoting an animal-rescue fundraiser. Greta was interested
in helping but didn’t have a writer to assign to the project on short notice.
Sunny submitted the written article and Greta published it almost verbatim.
This got Sunny thinking about writing and about how many more animals could be
helped by addressing issues important to animal rescues and wildlife. She
approached Greta about bringing back her regular animal column, proposing
herself as the writer. Greta agreed and Sunny has been writing the monthly
Animals Animals column ever since.
Sunny
enjoys outdoor activities and traveling with her beloved husband, Kevin. And she
is endlessly fascinated by her pets, four naughty Guinea pigs.
