| Diane Olson is a local freelance writer and wannabe full-time nature watcher. A Catalyst staff writer from 1993 to 2004, she won nine awards for Excellence in Journalism from the Utah Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists during that time, as well as her favorite accolade a Best of Utah award from City Weekly for Best Earth Mother. She is starting the New Year with a new career at McCann Erickson advertising.
