| Zach Abend is a Brooklyn expat and freelance writer now living in Salt Lake City. He writes about a variety of topics including local politics and culture. His articles have appeared in the Salt Lake City Weekly, Listen Magazine, and Catalyst Magazine. In 2004, he received two journalism awards from the Utah Headliners Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.
