You'll assist with re-routing an existing one-mile section of foot trail from a wetland to higher ground on a ridgeline. This non-motorized trail harms the wetland and the new trail plans to cut through an area less prone to impacts. Jazz performer turned world famous nature photographer Tony Sweet, conducts a workshop entitled "Exploring Your Personal Vision." The class meets daily for a sunrise photo shoot (weather permitting) followed by a session to process and critique images. The improvisational, spontaneous and abstract nature of jazz, are also integral elements of nature photography. The day will end with a late afternoon/sunset shooting session. Susan Sandoval Run for Ovarian Cancer Saturday 9/13/2008 8:00 am - 10:00 am
 
The Susan Sandoval Foundation for Ovarian Cancer was created to increase awareness of the signs, symptoms and risk factors for ovarian cancer as well as other gynecologic cancers (uterine, cervix, vulvar, vaginal and fallopian tube). The goals of the foundation are to educate and improve the care of women diagnosed with gynecologic cancers and focus on innovative research in this field. In 2007, the Foundation hosted the inaugural Susan Sandoval Run for Ovarian Cancer which raised over $13,000 and had over 400 runners and walkers. This year we hope to raise over $20,000 and have more than 500 runners and walkers. The race will be held on September 13th, 2008 at Sugarhouse Park.
