The Utah Transit Authority (UTA) and University of Utah have received a $5.4 million federal grant to purchase five new electric busses to be operated on the busy Route 2 and at the University of Utah. Electric busses not only help reduce air pollution, they will save the equivalent of 6,000 gallons of diesel fuel per year.
